Seaside Holidays in Sicily

Driving through lemon and orange groves, strolling through colorful markets filled with rich aromas and the typical market cries, savoring the unique wine of Mount Etna, admiring the Baroque cities, hiking through the peculiar landscapes of Mount Etna, and, an hour later, treating yourself to an ice cream – you’ve already done that, but not in Sicily!

Enjoying the Mediterranean Sea…

Take a plunge into our crystal-clear sea; along the Sicilian coast, you’ll find rocks, sand, and pebbles. In Pozzillo and the neighboring villages, the rocky coastline is particularly suitable for snorkeling. Explore the picturesque fishing villages along the Cyclops coast, savor an ice cream, or sip a sunset aperitif before enjoying dinner with us.

Boat trips in search of dolphins…

Crossing the Mediterranean Sea on a beautiful wooden boat, if you’re lucky, you may find yourself surrounded by a group of dolphins that will accompany you and swim alongside the boat. Sailing along the Sicilian coast at dawn or before sunset will allow you to enjoy a magnificent natural spectacle, thanks to the formation of basaltic rocks, natural caves, and abundant vegetation.

Excursion to the summit of the volcano

Exploring Mount Etna, a volcano rich in history and mythology, during the peak tourist season would be a real shame. “The Mountain,” as it is simply called by Sicilians, is the largest volcano in Europe and one of the most active in the world. Take some time off and dedicate a day to go on a hike and walk along the slopes of the mountain, accompanied by multilingual expert volcanologists. They will passionately narrate the unique geological history, flora, and fauna of the volcano.

Excursions

For those who do not wish to hike to the summit of the volcano, there are spectacular marked trails that will introduce you to and help you appreciate the unique colors and shapes produced by the flowing lava rivers over the centuries. You can take these hikes on your own or with a guide. In both cases, we will be happy to point out where you can find the best local eateries or gelato shops along the trails.

Cuisine – Tasty Temptation

The richness of Sicily is also reflected in its cuisine, which has been influenced by various cultures. The Greeks, Romans, Normans, Arabs and Spanish have left their marks and contributed to the variety of Sicilian cuisine. And when you see the brightly colored, handcrafted sweets, it will be like encountering a fleeting variation of Sicilian Baroque.

Wine Cellars

Along the slopes of Mount Etna, Europe’s highest and most active volcano, between the sea and the sky, at altitudes ranging from 400 to 1100 meters, various grape varieties such as Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, and Nerello Mantellato are cultivated. This allows for the creation of very full-bodied and distinctive wines, just like the wine producers of Mount Etna who courageously choose to cultivate here and face the extreme conditions of a unique and special terrain. These producers have successfully blended traditional methods with high-tech ones, earning excellent recognition worldwide for the wines of this region.

We would be delighted to arrange winery tours for you, including wine tasting, all accompanied by a typical Etna culinary tradition lunch.
